Black Farmer with scissors

I like Alox knives with scissors, as I already wrote before. My friend likes them too, but Victorinox doesn’t produce 93mm Alox with scissors.

I took a black Farmer and a black Climber my friend sent me. I dismantled both knives and mounted all together again. My friend is happy…

The final result is shown in the photo slider below.

    Hi.
Just what I want to do do but adding pliers and inline Phillips screwdriver too and another main blade to serrated it.
I know I won’t have problems on the extra main blade for I have an extra Alox knive.
    Questions are:
Did you have to re drill the spring of the scissors so it can be fixed into the Alox frame or was the hole set as the others?
Do you think the spring for the pliers will have to be modified as the length will vary from the two knives?

    I’m waiting for your reply.

    Thanks.

    Henning.

      Hi,
Yes I had to drill the hole of the scissors because the 91mm tools have a 2.5 mm hole while the 93mm tools have a 3mm hole. And you need a carbid tip drill bit because the tools a hardened.
I don’t know about the pliers because I never tryed to add one.
      Have fun with modding 🙂

What backspring did you use to mount the scissors? It all looks flush and symmetrical.

Incredible job! I’ll love to add scissors to my electrician, if you can help me I’ll de appreciate:

1.-How to remove pins from alox without damage
2.- I Understand using the spring from other Vic, but what about separators, do they match? Do I have to ad one?
    Thanks and congrats

Hi Esteban, I do flaten the heads of the pins with a file and then drill the head carefully.
You need to check with the separators, mostly they match.
      Good luck 🙂
