For this modification I used a 111 mm Soldier from 2014. I exchanged the original green-black scales with olive-green G10 with a Coarse Texture. The G10 used is pretty coarse and the grip is very good. It’s also a bit thicker than the nylon scales. As a result the handle is about 3.5 mm thicker than the original Soldier’s handle.
The green G10 is very close to the black G10 used for the conversion kit for the 111 mm Soldier I showed in an earlier post. On the last pictures you can see it.
The Soldier 08 still is the bees nkees and coud do with the wenger can opener ,not victorinox opener .
Wenger I think are better designed and better made then the victorinox s,idel for camping and outdoor leisure activities.
