Alox Solo in gold. This special run of 50 pieces was made by Victorinox in June 2013. Each knife has a number engraved on the backside of the blade together with the year.
It’s a nice addition to the few existing Alox models with golden scales.

In Mai 2012 Victorinox produced a special run of Cadets for a small fashion shop in Switzerland. 50 pieces in gold and 50 pieces in blue. The knives are not numbered and do not have any print on them. Each knife comes in a nice black leather pouch.
The gold color is the same as on the gold Pioneer and the gold Wilderness.
The blue shade is the same as used for the Cadet without ring, which Victorinox produced in March 2012 together with four other colors. This blue is the “standard” blue used by Victorinox for some other Alox model too, for example Pioneer and Farmer.
Some pictures below show a color comparison.
I like scissors on my knives and I like Alox knives. I like Alox knives with scissors. But Victorinox doesn’t produce 93mm Alox with scissors.
I took a Farmer and a Climber, dismantled both knives, took a pair of golden Alox scales and mounted all together again. And because my drill press didn’t as I wanted and scratched the golden backside scale, I used another frontscale for the backside of the knife.
The final result is shown in the photo slider below.
