Auch im 2020 hat Victorinox ein Climber Wood Special Edition mit schönen Nussbaumholzschalen herausgegeben. Ein stilisierter Baum und Sterne, sowie die Jahreszahl 2020 zieren als Lasergravur die Holzschalen.
Die Klinge trägt eine Ätzung.
Es ist eine limitierte Ausgabe. Die Anzahl ist mir nich bekannt.

Das Evolution Wood 10 Swiss Spirit Special Edition 2019 trägt ebenfalls Nussbaumholzschalen. Diese sind mit Blumen und Symbolen versehen, welche die Kultur und Traditionen der Schweiz repräsentieren sollen.
Es ist auf 5’000 Stück limitiert.
In 2019 Victorinox released several knives with wooden scales. Here I briefly present 3 of them.
The Spartan with Edelweiss is a special order for a Swiss knife dealer and was produced in 2018.
The Climber Wood Special Edition 2019 is the Christmas edition with the motto “All you wish for …”
The beautiful walnut wood scales feature snowflakes as laser engravings. It is a limited edition. I don’t know the number.
The Evolution Wood 10 Swiss Spirit Special Edition 2019 also carries walnut scales. These are decorated with flowers and symbols that represent the culture and traditions of Switzerland and are limited to 5,000 pieces.
2018 wurde das letzte Messer der Kantonsmesser Serie von Victorinox hergestellt.
Es ist dem Kanton Jura gewidmet, welcher im Jahre 1979 als 26 Kanton gegründet wurde.

In 2018, the last knife in the cantonal knife series was manufactured by Victorinox.
It is dedicated to the canton of Jura, which was founded in 1979 as 26 canton.
Since 1998 Victorinox has released a climber serie called Kantonsmesser. Nearly each year one or two climber models with wooden scales were produced. Each year the knife is dedicated to one of the 26 Swiss Canton. The wooden scales carry different geometric patterns. The blade is laser cutted with a fancy pattern and the Canton’s crest is etched on it. It’s a limited serie of only 100 pieces and each knife is numbered. The knife comes in a nice wooden box.
This year the knife is dedicated to the Swiss Canton of Vaud. It’s a Canton in the french speaking part of Switzerland.
This year they changed a few details on the blades cutting and etching.
The laser cutting of the rounded lines is a tiny bit wider, while the cutting of the cross and “arrow” parts are a tiny bit narrower. This results in a more balanced overall look.
The picture below shows a comparison between a blade of an earlier edition (top) and the new edition (bottom).
On the backside of the blade this year the same cantons’ crest as on the front side is etched. The earlier editions have the Victorinox Logo etched on the backside as showed in the second picture below.
